Olivier Furter
1962 Born in Locarno, TI, Switzerland
1970-1980 Attended primary and secondary school in Dottikon, AG, Switzerland; received drawing lessons from Bruno Landis and Félix Stampfli
1980-1984 Apprenticeship as a carpenter in Dottikon, Aargau
Attended courses at the Kunstgewerbeschule Zurich and F+F School for Art and Design with Rosina Kuhn
1985-1986 Worked as a freelance artist in London
1989-2013 Lived in Paris, working as a musician and sound engineer
Since 2013 Resides in Zurich, Switzerland. Resumed work as a painter in 2014
2016-2018 Advanced courses at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris
2019-2023 Training in the techniques of Old Masters at the Louvre Museum, Paris
